Our vision
We are a family enterprise with a vision to inspire and promote a healthy, sustainable lifestyle: Supporting a symbiotic relationship between us and our planet for future generations.
The Hive Good Life Centre will be open to the public. Offering a social enterprise, lecture room, workshops, shop and cafe.

The build is currently underway. Designed to sit sympathetically within a four acre site in The Vale of Glamorgan. Utilising environmental elements and resources, The Hive will showcase sustainable building methods as a working model.

The design consists of an oak frame, high performance SIPS system and sheeps wool insulation.
​
Window orientation has been designed to maximise solar gain and a rainwater harvesting tank will be used to minimise water consumption.
​
The site boasts an off grid sewage treatment plant and sits on an off grid water supply.
​
The development will aim to meet best practice criteria, as set out under the code for sustainable homes to address the following issues:

Energy efficiency, water consumption, surface water run off, waste management, pollution, ecology, health and wellbeing.
